Liner Notes
A co-release between WV Sorcerer and Yes No Wave Music.
Sundialll is a contemporary music group based in Taipei and Bandung, featuring vocalist/feedback artist Alica Han and multi-instrumentalist/electronic musician Rama Saputra. Coming from distinct musical backgrounds, they explore new sonic landscapes beyond their borders, embarking on fictional journeys through music. Their process begins with deconstructing rhyme, rhythm, and noise, drawing inspiration from their roots and folklore.
HUB is an eight-part live album built on free improvisation, centered around the fictional theme of social ritual. It is inspired by gratitude as a transition through the chaos of urban life and the organic social cohesion that emerges from improvisational language. Celebrating the convergence of diverse identities and places, Sundialll collaborates with sound improvisers Hong-Yu Chen (Xiao, Suona, Suling, Clarinet, Chinese Flute) and Dutch E Germ (Drums, Gong, Percussions), alongside dance improvisers Yu-Ting Tu, Naau Wang, and Ouro Yang. With a slow and silent gaze, we extend a welcoming gesture—“Come in, for the boundaries have been opened” (Bubuka).
Artists
Rama Saputra
Rama Saputra (Ramaputratantra) is a Bandung-based independent artist and music producer. His works mostly talk about worldview and cross-cultural identity phenomena. Currently he participates in contemporary music group Sundialll, eclectic-rock Gaung, and music residency program Threshold as a co-curator. After getting a bachelor’s degree in product design focusing on ethnomusicology and musical instrument development, he began to deepen his knowledge of sound and its intersection with other disciplines. Until now, through studies and collaboration with traditional music maestros, interdisciplinary art residencies, and technology exploration, he has shown his works through exhibitions and performances around InterAsia.
Alica Han
Alica Han (LICA) is an experimental sound performer and organizer from Taipei. Since 2020, she has been working on a No-input noise project and collaborating in electronic and noise music. Apart from Sundialll, she works on projects with performers from different scenes, focusing on voice. She co-founded the try-try female voice project with South African pianist Mira and organizes performance exchange events. She also curates and organizes performances and connections under the name “make it noise.
Dutch E Germ

He has composed original scores for several award-winning films, including Lizard, which won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize. Additionally, he produced the album Gate of Klüna by the Japanese tribal/psychedelic trio Kuunatic. Over the past year, DeWit has intentionally lived without a computer, focusing on drums and percussion in pursuit of a more direct physical connection and a purer music experience.
Hong-Yu Chen 陳泓宇
With a background as a veteran band guitarist and wind instrumentalist, he is a member of Island Futurism (島國未來主義) and Cyber Lama (賽博喇嘛).
Currently, he studies Beiguan music (北管) at Gongle Xuan (共樂軒) in Taipei, where he plays suona (嗩吶) for Datou Jinlai Gu Pavilion (大頭金來鼓亭).
He actively participates in religious and traditional ritual performances across Taiwan, including temple ceremonies, funeral processions, folk parades, Beiguan orchestras, ritual ensembles, Tianfan Qingyin, and large percussion formations.
