“Love in the Time of Information Technology” is an EP by lo-fi indie rock band Shorthand Phonetics. It was first debuted on the internet in its entirety on the 2nd of April 2010. This EP was exclusively recorded into a webcam mic to a HP Compaq Presario V3500 using Cakewalk Sonar 7 and FL Studio. This LP was recorded between September to December 2009.
“Love…” is a concept EP representing a failed short-story anthology project by Hanabishi Hideaki. “Love in the Time of Information Technology” was supposed to be the follow-up effort to Hide’s debut novel “Errors in Calculating Odds, Errors in Calculating Value.” Unfortunately a bout with depression, floods caused by acts of god and general med school business put a halt to the project. What’s left is these four stories (as represented by these four songs)
Enjoy!
